TERMINAL is the system for companies who prioritise quality and reliability, who emphasise functional and productive workstations, while also highlighting corporate culture.
TERMINAL was developed by Vitra together with Christoph Ingenhoven and first used to meet Lufthansa’s broad range of requirements. The needs associated with the individual task areas were first analysed carefully, and then innovative solutions found.
FLEXIBILITY
The TERMINAL table system combines ultra-advanced technology and a special design solution: despite the height of the table (chosen by the user), all the other elements, including the third level, always remain the same height. This ensures that even when several TERMINAL tables are grouped together, despite differing table heights, the overall visual impression is of a calm and carefully designed area.
ORGANISM
Today, countless people pass through airport terminals while travelling. Yet very few of them probably think about the logistical and organisational prowess involved in making certain a terminal can fulfil its different functions. And that is how it should be. The terminal should function smoothly in the background, invisibly serving the travellers.
COMPLEXITY
The key idea when developing TERMINAL: to make a table system available that facilitated the user’s work as much as possible. The table system can thus be optimally equipped for any function or activity. Numerous different useful elements can be docked onto the height-adjustable tables without any tools required, enabling the user to duly tackle the individual tasks at hand.
ADAPTATION
TERMINAL is modular in structure, allowing for simple configuration and reconfiguration. Meaning that new organisational or functional needs can be easily accommodated.
